In the summer of 1947 Dr. Dalupan with some colleagues opened the Philippine College of Commerce and Business Administration at R. Papa Street in Sampaloc, Manila with 350 students, after a year more students then enrolled and more academic units were organized and opened and due to the increasing number of students they decided to moved in to a more bigger place to what is now the main campus in Claro M. Recto, Manila.
To date three (3) of UE's Colleges have the level II accredited status by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA). The University of the East until now really made indelible marks on diverse fields of endeavor and prove that Tomorrow Begins in the East.
